If you specifically want a V8 or a diesel option, the Tahoe is the only one of these three that offers either.

Toyota Sequoia goes the opposite direction entirely — every trim, from the base SR5 to the top Capstone, uses the same i-Force Max hybrid powertrain: a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 paired with an electric motor for a combined 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque, the strongest torque figure of the three. There’s no non-hybrid engine option if you’d rather skip the added complexity.

Towing Capacity Compared

Towing is where the Expedition currently claims the top spot: up to 9,600 pounds when properly equipped with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package. The Sequoia is close behind at up to roughly 9,520 pounds, helped by the instant torque of its electric motor when pulling from a stop.
